Career Crisis

How often is normal for your job to make you cry?

(Or whatever your emotional equivalent to crying is)

Surely it's not never? Do people have jobs that never make them cry?

I have, in fact, told my boss that it was by sheer force of will alone that I did not kick in the teeth of a coworker.

Working sucks. That's why they have to pay you to do it. One only hopes that you spend less time crying/bludgening/hexing than not.

I've only been at my current job for 5 months but I would say it freaks me out, on average, once a week. I rarely feel like crying about it but I do cuss about it. Work is hard, especially when you're working with people, and extra-especially when you're working with people who are in need. It's very emotional to deal with that aspect of humanity.
